TO MARKET WE GO: May 2011
Like every New York market trip, May’s visit was a whirlwind of tasty dining, new designers, old faces, and fresh wardrobe finds.
FRIDAY:

After touching ground at sunset, we dropped off luggage at the W New York on Lexington, grabbed a quick Italian dinner at Da Salvino, and turned in for the night-all before midnight.
SATURDAY:

Saturday was an early rise as we headed for the Hamptons. Lunch at 75 Main, a stroll on Coopers Beach, and a little shopping kept us more than occupied.

Our only regret: one day is NOT enough! After driving back into the city and dropping off the rental car we finished the night with a delicious meal at Chinese Brasserie.
SUNDAY:

Sunday was partly retail with a side of food coma. Browsing for unique pieces in Soho boutiques (Alexis Bittar, Acne, WGACA), and admiring the visual merchandising on Madison, our favorite Sunday find was Edit on Lexington.Beautiful displays, chandeliers, and a black winding staircase definitely made an impression.

Intermixed within our day, we made sure to squeeze in pizza at Lombardi’s for brunch (supposedly the first pizza in New York) Thao for an early dinner and Balthazar for dessert.

MONDAY:
With a caffeine buzz from Dean & Deluca, we braced ourselves for Market. Although chaotic and crowded, New York Market is something to be savored. Not only is it the core of the industry, it offers a inside perspective where art meets business.

Throughout the whirlwind we discovered some amazing new lines we can’t wait to show you! After we made our final rounds, we collapsed into a Taxi and bid farewell to another successful trip.
