CFDA Awards: Accessory Designer of the Year

It was only fitting that the award for Accessory Designer of the Year was presented by the fabulously accessorized Iris Apfel (Eccentric fashion icon who can be seen in the recently acclaimed documentary Bill Cunningham New York).

Alexander Wang tearfully accepted the award, saying “It’s such an honor … to even just have my name alongside names such as Marc’s is enough of an acknowledgment for me. He was my first internship, one of the main reasons I even wanted to work in fashion, so I pinched myself when [I realized I’d] even come here and be a part of this.”

While we applaud Wang on his achievement, tribute must be made to the two other nominees, Reed Krakoff and Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez for Proenza Schouler. Check out each nominees lookbook below!
